Lidl Rudnik

In 2012 we built a ground floor shopping building for our client, Lidl d.o.o., located within the Rudnik shopping centre in Ljubljana. The building is 71 m long and 28 m wide, the dispatching unit is 8.3 m long and 5.3 m wide, the access ramp is 29 m long and 8 m wide, and the car park covers 2,500 m2. The structure is built on pile foundations and the prefabricated reinforced concrete columns and girders stand 27.5 m apart. The outer walls are made of foam concrete, while the roof is made of a membrane laid on thermal insulation and high wave sheet metal placed on the girders. The finishing layer of the facade is made of aluminium composite cladding panels (Alucobond) on the top part of the building and thin-layer roughcast on the bottom. All finishing crafts and installation works were carried out. The building was also connected to all public supply grids.
