Slovenian National Center for Large Wildfires in the Natural Environment, Sežana

A two-story building (ground floor + attic) of rectangular shape, with dimensions of 30.10 × 15.10 m and a gable roof with a 20° pitch. The ground floor houses a garage for six fire-fighting vehicles, while the attic contains office spaces. An operational platform, a parking area with ten parking spaces, and utility infrastructure with stormwater and sewage drainage and a pumping station were also arranged. Because the building was constructed on a filled-in sinkhole (dolina), ground improvement was carried out using the VPC (vibro-compacted stone columns) method, along with reinforced concrete retaining walls.
